Microfinance can dramatically improve the lives of borrowers. Increased household income, access to healthcare and education, and better living conditions are just a few of the ways in which microfinance is impacting the poor and underserved populations around the world.

Our partner microfinance institutions (MFIs) have steadily expanded their outreach to new borrowers throughout Latin America, demonstrating their excellent performance and their commitment to serving people living in poverty.

BORROWERS REACHED

We serve an increasing number of high-performing MFIs in Latin America with growth capital and technical assistance, helping them reach more low-income entrepreneurs and become leaders in the microfinance industry. We select these MFIs based on a number of criteria, including mission commitment, growth potential and management quality.

MICROFINANCE PARTNERS

Lending growth capital to our partners offers them the resources needed to introduce innovative products and services to meet the needs of people living in poverty. We have dramatically increased funding to our partners in recent years and will continue to seek new resources to finance their growth in the future.
